The Anamosa Mega Mart at 1762 Highway 64 in Anamosa has been purchased by Casey’s General Stores Inc. of Ankeny.
The sale was concluded on Wednesday, Sept. 1, according to Jeremy Tipton of NAI Iowa Realty Commercial, who represented the owners in the sale.
The business was owned by Anamosa Megamart LLC, which had three local owners, according to its articles of incorporation.
The store was exected to reopen at 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, after a brief closure for the ownership transition.
The interior transformation of the store will take place over the next 30 days. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
Casey’s has an existing Anamosa store on West Main Street. Tipton said the newly acquired location will continue sell premium fuel.
