GetFit Holdings Inc. acquires Push Pedal Pull retail chain

The RD Rogers Company has sold its Push Pedal Pull fitness equipment chain, with stores in Cedar Rapids and Des Moines, to GetFit Holdings Inc.

GetFit will continue to operate as Push Pedal Pull under a new leadership team led by Martin Bruder and current Chief Operating Officer Todd Ibis, according to a statement released Monday, Jan. 16. The company will remain headquartered in Sioux Falls, S.D. Bruder, with 11 years experience in the health club industry and 15 years in specialty fitness, will oversee sales and marketing efforts as president. Ibis, a 22-year veteran of Push Pedal Pull, will continue as chief operating officer.

Push Pedal Pull has 10 retail equipment showrooms and 12 commercial sales representatives serving nine Midwestern and western states. It employs 90.

Roger Stewart, primary owner of the RD Rogers Co. since 1985, informed employees earlier this month of the sale. He said GetFit will have the resources with which to back, support and grow the company.
