In our previous two articles, we discussed how to make money on LinkedIn and how to make money blogging. In this article, we will discuss how to make money online in a completely different way – how to make money online simply by using Google Adsense. If you’re curious about how anyone is able to make money online without any special training, keep reading!
The Basics Of Making Money With Adsense
Adsense is a program that allows webmasters to make money from their websites by displaying ads on their site. For the purpose of this article, we will assume that you have a basic knowledge of how to set up a website and operate it independently.
Getting started with Adsense is extremely easy – just follow these steps:
- Go to the Google Adsense website and register for a free account.
- Once you’re logged in, you’ll see an option to get started with Adsense on your Dashboard.
- Click on the Get Started button to proceed.
- From there, you can choose to integrate your Adsense account with your Gmail account or use a different email address.
- Finally, you’ll be presented with a small snippet of HTML code that you need to copy and paste onto your site.
It’s important to note here that you don’t have to have a lot of experience in order to make money online with Adsense. In fact, you don’t need any experience at all – as long as you follow the steps above, you’ll be able to get started earning with Adsense immediately.
Let’s now examine the different ways in which you can make money online with Adsense:
Adsense Blogger
One of the most popular ways to make money online with Adsense is through blogging. When someone lands on your blog for the first time and decides to stay, you’ve basically just created a viewer for the rest of your life. That’s a pretty good endorsement from me.
The steps to get started with a blog are the same as getting started with Adsense – you’ll need to register for a free account, log in, and paste the HTML code onto your blog. But once you’ve got your blog up and running, your next step is to monetize it. That’s where the fun starts!
The first step in terms of making money with Adsense is to decide what you’ll be blogging about. You’ll most likely want to pick a topic that’s relevant to your niche. For example, if you’re a lawyer, you might want to start a blog where you write about legal issues facing entrepreneurs. You can also choose to dive into politics and discuss current events from a political perspective. In fact, you can even create a blog around an upcoming TV show that you love and want to discuss. The key is to pick a niche that you’re passionate about.
Once you’ve decided what you’ll be blogging about, your next step is to pick a blogging platform. There are a number of blogging platforms out there, but WordPress is one of the most popular ones. Why? Easy – it’s free and open-source, which means that there’s a community of volunteers that are constantly creating and improving it. In short, it’s perfect for anybody who wants to get started blogging quickly and easily. Plus, if you’re looking for a free blogging platform, you can’t go wrong with WordPress.
Choosing a niche and platform is only the first step in terms of monetizing your blog. Once you’ve got those two items in place, you can move onto the next step – which is to create content for your blog. For example, if you’re writing a legal blog, you’ll most likely want to create a few articles discussing various aspects of contract law. You can also choose to write about topics that are trending at the moment – whether it’s SEO, web design, product reviews, or anything else that you can think of. The goal here is to simply keep your audience engaged and interested in what you’ve got to say. Once you’ve got a few articles written and published, you can finally turn to the next step in terms of making money with Adsense – which is to track down relevant ads that you can put on your site. You can use Google Adsense’s free tools to easily find what ads you might be able to put on your site.
So what can an Adsense blogger do with all of this? Well, they can create blog posts on a daily basis and integrate Google Adsense into those posts. Every day, they’ll post new content and drive traffic to it. Some of the advantages of an Adsense blogger are:
- Simple
- Tutorial-style content that is valuable to the reader
- Easy to understand
- Actionable
- Highly lucrative
Overall, I think that an Adsense blogger is a great option for anybody who wants to make money online without having to worry about too much technical information. It doesn’t necessarily require that you become an expert in any particular field – all you need are an interest in writing and the willingness to put in the work. While it’s not impossible to make money with Adsense without having a ton of experience, it certainly isn’t easy.
Affiliate Marketing
If you’re looking for an even simpler way to make money online, you can always try affiliate marketing. Essentially, affiliate marketing is when an affiliate (someone who promotes products for compensation) promotes a product and earns a commission when someone purchases that product through their affiliate link. In our previous two articles, we discussed how to become an affiliate marketer and how to find affiliate products. If you want to get started making money online with affiliate marketing, the only thing you need to do is:
- Pick an affiliate program that you’re comfortable with,
- Create an affiliate store (if you’re selling physical products),
- Find a good balance between earning and spending (for the purpose of this article, we’ll use a tool called Wealthy Affluent Life to help you track your spending),
- Build a community of people interested in what you have to say (you can do this by either encouraging people to join your affiliate program or creating a free blog to do so).
The great thing about this option is that it doesn’t require a lot of work – you can literally get started making money online with limited resources. The key to making money with affiliate marketing is to find products that people are interested in and that you can promote to your audience. You don’t necessarily need to take my word for it – in fact, there are dozens of reputable affiliate marketing platforms that you can use to find products that you can promote.
Product Review Blogging
If you’re interested in trying your hand at product review blogging, you can use the same steps as above – register for a free account, log in, and paste the HTML code onto your blog. But instead of blogging about legal issues or contracts, you’ll be reviewing products that range from cell-phones, to cameras, to household staples like detergents or food supplements. You’ll simply need to choose what products you’re going to review and create content around those products. In general, product review bloggers can be a lucrative option if you’re looking to make money online without needing to develop an in-house team.
SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, is a method of gaining traffic to your site from the major search engines like Google and Bing. When an Internet user types in a keyword or makes a similar search query, they will see the results of websites that are configured to appear prominently when those searches are completed. Essentially, SEO is all about making your website available to search engines so that they can find and rank your site highly when someone types in a keyword or makes a similar search query.
To get started, you’ll first need to determine your target keywords. That’s the word or phrase that people are using to find your product or service – in other words, the words and phrases that people are typing into search engines to find your product or service. You can do this in a number of ways – either by using free tools like Google Keyword Planner or by manually entering your target keywords into your Google Search bar. Once you have your target keywords, you can begin to create content around those words and phrases. The general rule of thumb is to create content that’s worth reading and which will appeal to your target audience. You’ll also want to make sure that the content is accurate and doesn’t contain any mistakes – after all, you’re relying on the search engines to help you find the right target audience, so you don’t want anything to stand between you and your earnings!
