What Is The RadBad?
The RadBad is a game that was originally inspired by Pokémon Go and Pokémon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire. The games focus on augmented reality and the use of smartphones to interact with the real world. In The RadBad, you use your smartphone to scan items in the real world and use these items in game.
You start the game by choosing a character and heading to a gym. Here, you will encounter other players who are also competing for rare fitness equipment and other useful items. Winning those games will get you points and coins, which you can use to buy items in the shop.
How Do I Play?
Once you’ve downloaded the game from the Google Play store, you’re ready to play. You just need to log in with your Google account and a valid email.
After that, you’re returned to the main menu, where you have the option of either creating a new character or going to a random user. If you want to make sure your experience is as good as possible, create a new character and select the gender option that best suits you (you can also change their hair and skin color).
How Do I Earn Money?
There’s a lot of ways to make money in The RadBad. First off, you can choose to play in Survival Mode. In this mode, you fight off humans and monsters (called Gym Leaders) that are interested in your (i.e. the player’s) well-being. The more you play, the more coins you accumulate. These coins can be used to buy items in the shop.
Another way to earn money is to link your PayPal account to your Google account and use the platform to take online surveys. When you complete a survey, you get paid in cash or you can choose to receive a gift card for participating. These gift cards can be used to purchase items in the shop.
The Shop
After you’ve played for a while and acquired some items, you’ll be able to use them in the shop. Here, you can upgrade your character’s stats or buy new items using your coins and/or gift cards.
Some of the items you can purchase from the shop include:
- Health Packs – Restores your character’s health.
- Energy Shuriken – Increases your character’s attack.
- Defense Boosters – Increases your character’s defense.
- Character Change Coupon – Allows you to change your character’s appearance.
- Warp Star – Allows you to warp to another place in the game.
- Gym Membership Card – Gives you access to all gyms in the game.
- Futurama T-shirt – Adds a funny saying or phrase to your character’s name.
- Extra Life – Adds an additional hour to your character’s lifespan.
- Hair Color Changer – Changes your character’s hair color.
- Skin Color Changer – Changes your character’s skin color.
- Mount Coupon – Allows you to ride a specific animal in the game.
- Poké Ball – Allows you to catch Pokémon in the game.
What Is The Future Of The RadBad?
The RadBad is currently available for Android and iPhone. The game’s creators plan to expand to other platforms, like the Nintendo Switch, in the near future.
