How to Make Money Online as a Solo Freelancer

Hello and welcome to Day 3 of our 3-day quick start guide to becoming a solo freelancer!

If you’re reading this, I assume you’re either a solo freelancer yourself, or someone who knows one. If not, then maybe it’s time to consider a life in freelancing. Money can be easily made online, and there are various ways to make a living without leaving your home. Let’s explore the various ways you can make money online as a solo freelancer.

Paid Surveys

One of the simplest ways to make money online is to take paid surveys. There are a variety of survey companies, such as Survey Junkie, Swagbucks, OneOpinion, Survey Junkie, Ipsos iSay, etc., that will pay you to share your opinion. All you need to do is to register with the company, and then simply answer a few questions about yourself. You’ll then be shown a list of potential survey opportunities that are suited to your profile. Simply click on any one and then follow the instructions.

The more you participate in, the more you’ll make. Swagbucks says that their best paying survey is the SEO (search engine optimization) survey, which pays up to $1.50 per day. If you qualify, you can make $25 to $30 per week without any special skills or experience. Keep in mind that these are all paid positions so you’ll need to keep track of your earnings and also obey all the legal requirements pertaining to online earnings. When you’ve made enough money, you can chose to “lock” any additional earnings until you qualify for a payout. At that point, you’ll be able to withdraw your earnings in cash.

Another way to make money online is to start a blog. There are a variety of blogging platforms, such as WordPress and Blogger, that will allow you to set up your blog in minutes. Just pick a niche and then start posting regularly about something you’re familiar with. You can also use affiliate marketing to monetize any blog you create. The more you post, the more you’ll make.

Blogs are a great way to build an audience, and once you’ve got enough people interested in your content, you can take advantage of various affiliate marketing opportunities that are out there. For example, if you’re writing about fashion, you could check out the various clothing and accessory brands and see if they’re willing to pay you to post about their products. Most people will click through to your blog from an affiliate link you include in your blog posts, so long as you don’t promote the product too heavily. The key is to simply include the link in your post and leave it there. Should someone click on it and make a purchase after reading your blog post, you’ll earn a small commission.

SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

SEO is a type of marketing that helps your website to show up when customers look for products or services related to your niche. The more people who link to your website, the more opportunities you have to show up in the organic search results for related keywords. In other words, SEO helps customers find you. For SEO purposes, your website will need to have a reliable and valid Google account. You’ll also need to post regularly and use keywords in your content. There are a variety of SEO companies that do all the work for you, so all you need to do is decide which one you want to work with and then submit your website to have them begin optimizing it for search engines.
