In case you were wondering, yes I too went through the same pain. You see I was a full-time RN who worked long hours and sacrificed a lot of personal time so my kids could have a good childhood. I was always afraid of getting sick so I worked double shifts when I was called in sick. My husband was the first person I told when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. While I was in the hospital I cried because I didn’t want to ruin my family’s Thanksgiving. But you know what? It turned out to be the best Thanksgiving ever! We are so thankful that our daughter was born healthy and that the cancer didn’t return. Still to this day my husband and I thank God for giving us the strength to fight.
Now that I’m cancer-free (yay!), I have the time to dedicate to more important things than work. My husband and I want to continue giving our daughter the best possible start in life so we can enjoy more quality time together as a family. We want to be able to take her on walks and teach her how to ride a bike. I want to be able to spend more time with her exploring museums and art galleries. Our family’s priority is to give our daughter the best chance at a happy and healthy life and we feel that a part of her treatment includes helping others. Hence the reason for this blog post.
4 Tips for Making Money Online From Scratch
Since we are talking about ways to make money online, let’s discuss four tips that will help you get started and build a passive income stream. These tips will help you make money online without risking anything. Furthermore, you’ll be able to enjoy the benefits of a more flexible schedule and reduce your stress. Now let’s get started.
1. Find A Niche
A niche is basically a “small category of people or things”, in this case, it’s breast cancer survivors who are just looking for ways to make a little extra cash. Nowadays, you’ll find a niche for almost anything as long as there’s a market for it. For example, if you are a talented artist you could make paintings for families who have lost loved ones to cancer. Or if you have a talent for cooking, why not try out a new recipe and sell it online? The sky is the limit when it comes to niches!
2. Start A Blog
A blog is a “web log” or “web diary” that is usually written in the third-person. Therefore, everyone reading your blog will know what you’re talking about, regardless of whether or not they have personal experience with the matter. When I originally decided to write this blog post I looked into my own experiences with breast cancer and how much I wanted to help other survivors. I started a blog because I felt that there was a need for a platform where breast cancer survivors could share their unique experiences and help guide others through what may seem like a chaotic time. I also wanted to create a space for myself to keep track of my thoughts and feelings during this time and eventually write a book. So far, I’ve had about 20,000 views on my blog which is pretty good considering it’s only been live for a month and I’ve posted four times.
3. Join A Cooperative
A cooperative is a group of businesses or individuals who come together to offer a product or service to the public. In the case of a cancer-support cooperative, people with cancer come together to offer their time and expertise to help others who are fighting the disease. When you join a cooperative you essentially become a consultant, getting paid to give advice and help others with their questions. It’s an excellent way to get started making money online without any previous experience. You’ll simply need to make sure that you learn how to properly introduce yourself to potential clients and build up a small portfolio of case studies you can reference in future. Once you start getting a few cases taken care of it’ll be easy to start making more money. You can eventually set your own hours and be your own boss.
4. SELL PASSIVE INCOME
Passive income is essentially money that is generated from a source or business other than your direct employer. It is usually seen as “liquid cash” that can be deployed towards your goals without needing to be concerned with your immediate needs. So, instead of getting paid per hour as an employee, you get paid per project as a consultant. This could mean that you’ll get paid once the client pays you or you get paid monthly as long as the client continues to pay you. Keep in mind: not all passive income is created equal. It depends on the source of the income and how much you’re actually generating. Furthermore, some types of passive income are more profitable than others so you’ll need to determine if this is the right path for you. Consider the following:
- Do you have a steady source of income?
- Are you currently making a profit from a source or business other than your direct employer?
- How much money do you need to achieve your goals?
- What is your time worth?
- How much are you willing to invest to get started?
- What other options do you have for generating income?
- Do you have a skill or talent that can be monetized?
- Are you living a life that you’re proud of ?
Getting started with a passive income business is pretty easy, as long as you have the will-power to do so. The hardest part is building up a small portfolio of clients who can afford to pay you for your services. Once you get started it’s quite easy to build up a sizeable portfolio simply by taking on a few small projects here and there. Of course, you can always find high-paying gigs if you’re looking for a steady stream of income but you need to be committed to building up a stable portfolio of low-paying clients first.
