How to Make Money Online Legally

Hi, my name is Michael Green and I’m a successful digital marketer and entrepreneur. I’ve built this blog up over the past 7 years and I wanted to give you some tips on how you can do the same, without all the fluff. If you want to become a digital marketer, this article is for you.

Start A Blog

One of the best ways to make money online is through affiliate marketing. The basic idea behind affiliate marketing is that you can make a commission when someone clicks a monetized link or buys a product that’s promoted on your blog. You’ll want to pick your niche and pick your products carefully so that you can focus on growing your affiliate income. Once you’ve got that down, you can move onto the next step.

Find A Way To Get Paid

There are plenty of ways to get paid online, from showing ads, to writing and selling articles, to picking up some extra tasks on a side gig. But if you want to go the legal route, you can actually create and sell your own products online. You could put together digital marketing courses or workshops that you can provide to clients. Or you could flip the script and become a freelancer and get paid per project (i.e. per piece of web content, or per email campaign).

Pick Your Niche

If you want to get paid, you’ll need to pick a niche and focus on growing your audience within that niche. The best way to do this is through search engine optimization (SEO). The purpose of SEO is to make your website as relevant and useful as possible to your target audience. For example, if you’re targeting health-related products, you’ll want to make sure that your content is geared towards health professionals (e.g. doctors, nurses, etc.). If you’re able to achieve a consistent level of organic traffic, you’ll be able to monetize that traffic and use it to subsidize your digital marketing costs. Keep in mind that this kind of sustainable revenue stream can take time to develop.

Put In The Time

The good news is that you don’t have to be Einstein to be able to do SEO. With a little bit of online research and regular testing, you can easily find out what’s working and what isn’t, and optimize your website accordingly. Once you’ve got your SEO strategy down, you can sit back and wait for the money to roll in. That’s the easy part.

Monetizing That Traffic

Once you’ve got a significant amount of organic traffic, you can begin to experiment with monetizing that traffic. The best way to do this is through affiliate marketing. But before you rush into anything, take some time to see if there’s an affiliate program for the product or service that you promote. You don’t want to commit to an affiliate product that you can’t actually make money off of.

The Bottom Line

At this point, you’re probably wondering how much time you’ve spent reading this article and how much time you’ll actually need to start making money. The answer is that it depends on you. Some people are able to get by with just a few hours a week, while other are able to sustain themselves on a full-time basis, thanks to affiliate marketing. Ultimately, it’s up to you to decide what suits you best.
