Welcome to Game Theory, the place where we answer the crucial questions about game playing, including:
How to Make the Most Money in Red Dead Redemption 2
With the release of Red Dead Redemption 2, it’s time for another in a long line of career simulations. If you were a fan of the original Red Dead Redemption, then you’ll feel right at home taking on a new life in the wild, with a bit of a twist.
Though the original Red Dead Redemption was about John Marston, the protagonist of Redemption 2 is his grandson, Arthur. Players will take on the role of the adult Arthur, learning the ropes from Grandpa Johnny in order to survive in a world gone mad thanks to the likes of John Marston and the Younger Gang. For those players looking to make the most money in the game, here are some tips on how to become the ultimate millionaire with a career as a bounty hunter in RDR2.
Get Your Hands On As Much Ammo As Possible
When Arthur was a child, he saw the world through the lens of a child and admired those who could take down giant creatures one shot at a time. As an adult, he still finds himself drawn to the satisfying snap of a high-powered rifle, looking to provide comfort in his old age to those around him. With adult supervision and mentoring, you can be certain that your Grandpa Johnny won’t be using real bullets in his adventures, ensuring that your experience won’t be ruined by a stray bullet from a game malfunction. Still, it’s easy for an unsupervised player to accidentally shoot themselves in the foot, so be careful where you point that gun.
Don’t Forget About The Wanted List
One of the most essential elements of any video game, especially a career simulation like Red Dead Redemption, is the wanted list. The wanted list serves as a list of the people you’ll need to avoid or kill if you’re trying to make the most money. Before you begin your quest for riches, you’ll have to make a list of the ten most wanted criminals in Grand Theft Auto. The list will serve as a running tally of the ten most lucrative bounties in the entire game. Once you’ve made the list, you can begin your journey to become the ultimate millionaire.
Consider Taking On A Partner
When you first arrive in Rockford, you’ll be eager to take on your first investigation. After all, it’s been a long time since you’ve been a regular, active participant in an investigation. Soon enough, you’ll realize that there are certain aspects of being a bounty hunter that you don’t really enjoy. You may not even enjoy being in Rockford, as the locals aren’t exactly the warmest group and seem more than happy to point and laugh at your expense. You may also not enjoy the company of your mentor, who, while he may have helped you get your start in the business, can’t help but remind you of your shortcomings. Finally, you may not enjoy being away from your family for so long, trapped in an isolated community with nothing but your wits and your trusty firearm to keep you company.
If any of these sounds like something you’re looking for in a game partner, consider looking into possibly partnering up with another player. With a partner, you can both pool your resources and share the wealth. You can also use your position as a team to call in favors from other players who you know are also looking to make the most money in the game. When hunting large animals like bear or deer, you can bring along a partner to handle the dirty work while you concentrate on the hunting itself. Though there are many advantages to partnering up, there are also a few disadvantages. Chief among them is the fact that both of you are under the same roof, making it harder to hide your ill-gotten gains. Another disadvantage is the complete lack of communication and understanding between the two of you, leading to frustration and possible arguments about money management. Finally, if you’re hunting an wanted criminal, having a partner means splitting the reward with someone else. Though this may not seem like a problem at first, you’ll quickly come to hate the thought of sharing your grandeur with someone else. The advantages of a partnership far outweigh the disadvantages, but only if both partners are on the same page and both want the same thing.
Set Up A Timetable For All Of Your Investigations
The first step in creating a successful bounty hunter is to set a timetable for all of your investigations. Though you may be drawn to an immediate, rewarding target, you must remember that these are works in progress. You cannot commit to delivering a particular contract within a certain amount of time. Instead, you must set a general timeframe for all of your tasks, reminding yourself that some investigations may take longer than others. When planning an investigation, you must also consider your resources, both human and material. Setting a time limit on an investigation ensures that you’ll have a clear idea of how much time you have before you must move on to the next stage of the job. This is especially important if you’re partnered up with another player. Though you may both have set a time frame for this particular job, if you’re taking on a longer project, you’ll find yourself in the position of reminding your partner that you’re running behind and may require an extension on your end of the contract.
Use The Right Equipment And Tools
The biggest mistake a new player can make is to use the wrong equipment and/or tools for the job. Though you may be used to working with old school audio recorders and video game tumblers, the equipment you’ll need as a bounty hunter is far different. For starters, you’ll need a modern firearms harness. Though it may be tough to believe after all these years, pre-1974 firearms are not compatible with modern day consoles, and vice versa. Even worse, some of these older firearms are completely incompatible with the new games. If you’re planning to do a lot of bounty hunting, it’s essential that you invest in a few pairs of armor that are designed for hunters of larger animals. Your grandparents won’t be around to protect you from small arms fire, so you might as well be prepared.
Learn From Mistakes
The only way to improve as a bounty hunter is by making mistakes and learning from them. Though it’s impossible to become perfect, there are many things you can do to improve your odds of becoming the best. One of the simplest things you can do is to log all of your investigations. Though this may seem like an unnecessary step to some, by taking notes you’ll have a better idea of what went wrong and what you could do differently next time. Though you may sometimes be tempted to log the occasional “successful” investigation, trying to hide any mistakes can actually hinder your ability to learn. When hunting larger animals, it is essential that you learn to track them. There are many species of animals that become difficult to track once they’ve reached a certain size. For instance, when you’re hunting bear, the moment you hit 150 pounds you become impossible to track. If you’re partnered up with another player, be sure to discuss all of the cases you’ve taken on, so that both of you are aware of what the other has on their books. Though it may be tempting to keep all of this to yourself, trust me, you won’t learn anything if you’re hiding information from your partner. Finally, when taking down a large animal, it is always preferable to use a spear gun. Though they’re nowhere near as accurate as a high-powered rifle, they’re much quieter and don’t require as much reloading between shots. This makes them ideal for taking down larger animals like bear and deer.
When it comes time to take down a wanted criminal, nothing can stop you. With a little bit of luck and a whole lot of training, you’ll be able to rid the world of its most notorious criminals.
